Termites Swarming
The warm windy days of April will shortly be bringing out swarms of termites in our area.
Termites eat wood all year long, but they usually stay hidden except when they swarm
in the spring.
If you see termites swarming inside your house this month, it is a sure sign that the
house is infested.
For every termite that swarms, there are hundreds left behind to feed on the structure,
and they can severely damage a house if left untreated. Termites cause over $750 million
dollars worth of damage each year in the United States. That's more than is caused by
all fires and storms combined, including earthquakes.
The following pictures compare the termite swarmer with the relatively harmless ant swarmer
so you'll know what to watch for. If termites invade your home, just call Express and
then bid farewell to the home wreckers.
